  Yes. We intend to maintain a ReDIF conversion for the arxiv.org
  and other data. You can then basically use the software that 
  you already have written for RePEc's ReDIF dataset to build the
  Z39.50 server. Doable in a good day.

  There are already two RePEc archives at the LSE. If the library
  would get involved it maintaining these, that would be a step
  forward.
