[OAI-implementers] help required!!!

Hi 
   I am just starting the implementation of the OAI protocol.Can anyone tell me if i can find some sequence diagrams or class diagrams for a previous implementation of this protocol so that i have a good idea before starting and i can compare my design with that.
   Secondly on the service provider end after parsing the xml returned from the data provider what would be a good choice for use of database used for storing the data returned since i have to later access it from the web site.
