this is _very_ interesting indeed.

I copy Thomas Baker: he may have contacts there. I vaguely remember that
Carl Lagoze was a very active player in Digital Libraries and I have met
him back in the 90's; Tom, do you know him? Actually, I would not be
surprised if Eric Miller knew them...

As for Powder, yes, indeed, there seems to be a possible connection
here. But I do not know of any connection among the groups (yet). Maybe
when you return from your visit, you can tell us more and we can try to
establish some contacts.

Chris, could you give me a short report on this visit when you are back?
I will be at the Dublin Core conference at the very end of August, and
it would be good to know about that...
