Enter the BASE-URL of your repository. At a minimum, the BASE-URL specifies the Internet host and port of an HTTP server acting as a repository. Typically, the BASE-URL will also specify a path that is specified by the respective HTTP server as the handler for OAI protocol requests.
IMPORTANT: The contents of the registration database are publicly accessible. Your registration indicates your willingness to make your registration information available and, consequently, your expectation of receiving OAI protocol requests from data providers who use that registration information. You may, however, restrict dissemination of metadata in response to these requests in whatever manner you deem necessary.
Our registration server will periodically issue test protocol requests to your repository to check your conformance with the OAI protocol. If the tests indicate that your repository is not conformant, we will notify and temporarily remove your repository from the registry. Conformance testing will help ensure that the registry is useful to service providers who will rely on the protocol for metadata harvesting.
